DIY Hair Chalking

What you’ll need

  • Soft pastels (can be found at any art supply store)
  • Spray bottle
  • Flat/curling iron

Instructions

  1. Separate hair into small sections.
  2. Soak a small section of hair with water.
  3. Apply whichever pastel color you choose, generously. Repeat throughout sections you want pasteled.
  4. Flat iron (or curl) your hair to set the color.

Ahh, I want to try this SO badly but all I can think about is the damage it’ll cause my hair.

Holy crap I need to try this. Even just on a wee strand cause my school doesn’t allow ‘unnatural’ colours. But it’s technically not unnatural cause chalk is limestone and limestone is calcium carbonate, which is natural. BOO YEAH. I EVEN HAVE CHALK PASTELS CAUSE I’M AN ART NERD. Does it stay in for ages or does it wash straight out?

I wanna do this!

  • Person: Hey are you ok?
  • Me: yeah just having a bad day
  • week
  • month
  • year
  • life
  • existence
